Private AI: run your own model on a server you control
Rent a server, run an open model on it, and your prompts stay with you. These pages answer the three questions that matter: will it fit, what does it cost, and who owns the server.
- Can this server run model X?. Pick one of 27 open models (Qwen3, Llama, Gemma, DeepSeek-R1, Mistral, Phi). See the RAM it needs and every plan that fits, cheapest first.
- EU-owned cloud providers list. 7 of 14 providers are EU companies. Legal entity, parent, datacentres and cheapest plan, with sources. CSV and JSON download.
- What a self-hosted LLM costs per month. Five model sizes, four providers, real monthly prices.
- CLOUD Act: which VPS providers are US companies. Why the owner matters more than the datacentre. Plain English, not legal advice.
Honest limits: the plans we track are CPU-only. Small models (1B to 8B) run fine for one person; bigger ones are slow. We have not measured speed yet. "Private" means your data is on a server you rent; the host still runs the hardware.
